MWC05 Safety Location Smart Badge
A safety and location smart badge that works as a multifunction wearable panic button, keeping teams connected through LoRaWAN® long-range technology. It removes tracking blind spots by bridging indoor and outdoor environments with seamless switching between GNSS, Wi-Fi Scan and BLE. Built to fit into the existing workflow, it also works as a standard CR80 badge holder. From instant emergency alerts (visual, audible and tactile) to a battery lasting up to 180 days, the MWC05 delivers the rugged reliability required in mission-critical operations. It also supports Bluetooth® Channel Sounding (ready for future centimeter-level ranging accuracy).
How It Works
The MWC05 combines hybrid positioning with long-range connectivity: outdoors it uses GNSS, while indoors it falls back to Wi-Fi Scan and BLE, switching seamlessly as the wearer moves. Location data and alerts are transmitted over LoRaWAN®, providing 2–5 km of coverage with low power consumption.
The device switches automatically between GNSS (outdoors) and Wi-Fi Scan / BLE (indoors), removing tracking blind spots during the transition between environments.
