IRIDIUM I/O Module

The IRIDIUM I/O module is a device specifically created to perform automation tasks. It allows the capture and monitoring of digital signals (inputs), the control of relay outputs (outputs) and the transmission of RS232 serial signals.

Overview

IRIDIUM features the most modern technological resources to deliver the best cost/benefit ratio in monitoring and remote control system projects. Designed to operate with IoT (Internet of Things) communication protocols, it allows easy integration with a wide range of control systems.

The hardware is designed to operate safely and reliably in the most varied environmental conditions. It features electronic circuits specially designed to protect the components against electrical discharges. The signal inputs are built with optical couplers that fully isolate the sensors from the internal circuits of the I/O module.

The device can connect to the communication network using wireless technology (WiFi) or through a 10/100-Base-T Ethernet UTP cable. It has a high-precision internal clock and can be configured to access an external NTP server.

The I/O module has an internal HTTP server and is configured through a browser. It has eight digital inputs, four relay outputs, two open-collector outputs, two RS232 serial ports and a display connection. It supports remote firmware updates and secure TLS communication. It is powered by 12VDC.

Designed for uninterrupted operation in the most demanding situations, the hardware is fully modular and allows quick part replacement for on-site maintenance, reducing downtime and spare parts costs.
